Anti aging guide. Your plan to staying young.
The quest for the fountain of youth has been going on for centuries and the anti aging race seems to be heating up. Instead of looking to plastic surgery or creams, we are starting to look to science more and more. And science is more than willing to answer that call, as long as we open our wallets. In out 20's, our skin starts to lose it's elasticity due to our cell turnover slowing down. As a result, we start to see some fine lines and wrinkles appear around our eyes and mouth. Maybe even and age spot or two. Danish researchers compared identical and fraternal twins and discovered that only 30% of longevity is genetic. That means that 70% is lifestyle and the choices people make. George Valliant, Ph.D., and subsequent researchers have followed Harvard freshman in the classes from 1939-1949 periodically to the present. One especially notable finding was that men who had traits such as optimism and humor as freshmen were less likely to develop chronic illness or die by age 45. The difference was even more pronounced at age 60. So now that we know we have the ability to slow down the effects of aging, what do we do? There are a lot of different methods out there so take some time to explore:
- Injections:
Botox,
Restylane,
and other dermal fillers. - Surgical Procedures: Nip and tuck, is it really as easy as they make it all seem?
- Non-surgical Treatments:
Contour thread lift,
thermage, microdermabration, chemical peels, laser resurfacing.
- Nutrition
and Exercise: Your waistline and it effect on aging.- Anti Aging Supplements:
Green tea,
HGH
(human growth hormone)
